a note on hum…
So, it seems that my monitoring setup (a pair of headphones) wasn’t up to the task. The sound file I was using to layer the authentic vinyl crackle under my voiceover had a wicked bass hum. I’ve gone back and updated the Aynsley Dunbar and Carolyn Franklin podcasts with new mp3s, sans hum. The Donald Austin file might have to remain a monument to the limitations of a homebrewed recording studio.
